I can’t believe I haven’t updated this journal in over a year I don’t usually have anything to ramble on about, but now I do. Last Sunday (22nd) I went flying in a Texan Fly Synthesis, which is a light sport plane. It was absolutely amazing! We’d initially booked for a 30 minute flight on my birthday the week prior, but our booking got lost and no one showed up. Thanks to the little blunder, I got an extra 30 minutes with no added cost. I’m so thankful for the extra time, because it really does fly when you’re up in the air. My pilot/instructor, Ritchie, was awesome too. He was so friendly. He showed me how to fill and check the fuel level/consistency, and also what needs checking on the plane in case of any previous damage. It was a great mini lesson.
We left the airfield at Caloundra and flew into the Sunshine Coast hinterland. My Mum wanted us to fly over our house in Maleny, which took ages to find. Finding Maleny was easy enough, especially Baroon Pocket Dam which the town is close to, but finding the house was a nightmare. We managed to find it thanks to the new Round-about that got installed just up the road. We then flew towards the Glasshouse Mountains, and went around Mount Beerwah. It was epic being so close to it. At some point, we flew up into the clouds, and everywhere you looked was just white. I remember coming up above the clouds for a few seconds, and the sight was incredible; just a sea of white. Throughout our flight I was able to have a go at steering the plane. It’s an experience I’ll never forget
Along with the flight, I got a micro-disc with some of our flying footage on it. The camera was supposed to sit in a holder which attaches to the windshield, but the holder was broken. Instead we alternated filming by hand, which I think is an added bonus because there was a lot more freedom with what to film. I took some photos on my own camera too, which I’ve selected the better ones to share: Those photos were of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I think the lake is Lake Somerset. I know Ritchie told me, but I forgot/was too preoccupied taking photos to remember, and had to google it, so hopefully it’s right. There’s also a photo of the clouds we flew through
Also, some stills from the video footage too: Mostly shots over Caloundra West as we came in to land. The airfield is the huge cross.
This was definitely an experience I’d love to do again someday. And by visiting the airfield and watching the Skydivers taking off, a part of me is also thinking of doing some skydiving. Knowing me, I’d probably refuse to jump from the plane at the last minute

Requests and Commission Pricing
To help prepare myself for any potential commissions, I'm going to open 3 slots for requests. Depending on how fast I can work, or how stressed I get :paranoid:, I might open more slots later. But for now, I'll just stick with 3 to be safe. So, if anyone is interested, and likes the look of my art/style, just drop me a note.
Requests:
1) Sorrinna-Ushika-Seji
2) lyokian
3) HinataFox790
Also, regarding commissions, I've finally worked out the prices. I'm hoping to create a proper commission table at some stage, which I'll link back here. But for now:
Sketches:
Head - $2-$3
Waist Up - $5
Full Body - $7
Inked - Basic (single thickness):
Considering Commissions
Would anyone be interested in commissioning me? I've been doing some thinking, and have decided to try my hand at doing some. Not yet sure on the pricing, but I'll update this when I've worked it out. Also, at this stage I'm willing to draw most things, provided it's within my comfort zone. :)
A Weekend Of Noise
It's probably about time I updated this thing. Last weekend was the Caloundra Music Festival, which is held every year (has been going for a few years now). The event seems to be getting bigger and bigger, with more well known musical acts coming up to perform. This year they had The Living End, The John Butler Trio, The Cat Empire and Noiseworks (and some lesser known acts). Noiseworks has a habit of turning up every year though, which is a bonus because I really enjoy their music :D Jimmy Barnes didn't perform this year, which was a disappointment. I missed the festival last year (Dad was overseas), so I'm not sure whether Jimmy was there o
Back Online
It's amusing how quickly time flies :XD: My Dad's returned from his overseas work trip, so I'm back online. However, he mentioned something about potentially being called back to England mid November, although he really doesn't want to go. Hopefully he won't be called back over.
I'm having trouble tracking down the old photoshop copies of my fanart-central work, so uploading the old artwork on here hasn't really progressed. Something's telling me I've burned it all onto a CD ages ago, so it seems I must search for this phantom disk of sorts  If said disk (if it exists) cannot be found, I'll probably just upload the smaller, worse-q
